HighTower Adds $500 Million Morgan Stanley Team

A $500 million Morgan Stanley team led by Thomas G. Foley and Keith W. Hier has left the wirehouse for HighTower Advisors.

As HighTower Omaha, the team will operate out of HighTower’s first Nebraska-based office. Private wealth advisors Foley and Hier will continue their roles as managing director and senior vice president.

Tom Hodgson, financial planning and analytics manager, and Tina Legett, senior client relations manager, will also be part of HighTower Omaha.

"After 20 years at Morgan, we chose to join HighTower for its sophisticated platform and culture of excellence, both of which will help us address our clients' complex needs and grow our business," Foley said.

HighTower Omaha is the ninth addition since January to the firm, which recently added a $300 million team from Securities America.

"HighTower's track record of helping teams grow attracts advisors from a variety of settings—including wirehouses, RIAs and independent broker-dealers," said Michael Parker, Hightower's chief development officer. "If a team is looking to grow and build a strong wealth management business, we're simply the best solution for them."
