HighTower Advisors has recruited an advisor team with about $300 million in assets from Securities America. J.M. Egan Wealth Advisors, led by Managing Partner John Egan, will now be known as The Egan Group at HighTower.
"We decided to merge with HighTower based on the strength of its platform and the deep bench of expertise among its advisors," Egan said. He added that his firm’s clients will benefit from the support of a larger organization in HighTower.
Members of J.M. Egan’s team working in the firm’s Sea Girt and Madison, N.J. offices will continue to operate in those locations, while the firm’s New York office will move into HighTower’s New York headquarters.
The Egan Group at HighTower provides investment management as well as tax, estate and legacy planning and other financial services. They specialize in serving medical, legal and telecommunications professionals, as well as closely held family businesses.
