Just remember that three year into your 10-year recruiting deal. The firms is cutting your compensation and rumors are swirling that the compensation plan is going to salary with performance bonuses. You will get some anxiety as you realize that you can't leave the firm because you can't pay back the money. You go to see your manager for comfort and instead you hear that the rumors are true. You say I manage my clients' money, and they say NO!!! "You are to gather assets not manage money!!! Itis at that time you will realize that the quick joy of the recruiting check will crumble to the heavy and extremely long chains you will carry while your favorite firm proceeds to strip you of your resolve, integrity and happiness.

The signs are right out there now with Sunday, March 3, 2013, New York Times article on JP Morgan, which we all know JP could be replaced with any of the big firms.

Tell the recruiters NO! Go see an independent firm or a Baird, Stifle! Life is tooooo short not to be happy!
