I am an independent insurance agent looking to add investment services. I am struggling to find a Broker/Dealer that will give me an opportunity because I don't have prior securities sales experience. I would greatly appreciate anyone that could name some independent B/D's that are willing to work with a newbie.

Thanks.

Hi,

Have you sold Index Annuities, previously? If so, how much in last 12 months?

Also, do you have any securities licenses?

Hi Ray,

I have not sold any Annuities. I have sold various types of Life policies. From what I've read and been told I won't be able to take the securities exam without finding a sponsor.

Cee Bone,

I am in business development for a broker dealer and would like to talk to you. Give me a call at 949-444-1053.

Best,

Google and call SSN (500 rep indp broker dealer). You will be glad you at least spoke with them.

Make a list of the largest broker/dealers.

From that list, makes a shorter list that consists of those broker/dealers that have minimum annual productions requirements of $0.

Next, find the phone numbers for each of these. Then call and let them know your situation, your intentions, then pause, then close.

You might even be able to get into ones that have some production requirements if you can convince them you'll meet those requirements. Keep in mind this might be a bit harder, but certainly manageable and worth a shot.
