Does anyone know if there is a website that anyone can get info on selling a book of business? I thought there was a website where someone can bid on a book, get ideas on selling a book, etc.

If you buy a book of business, what's the best approach to retaining those assets?

I checked this out with a broker, once. He was saying, you really need to stick around for up to six months (the seller needs to stick around). Since retention is directly  correlated to value, the buyer  usually puts down 1/3 of the sale price, or whatever, and the "earn out" is tied to retention (1st year GDC). You won't want the seller around after six months, anyway.

Check with a professional, you can get free advice on the basics.
