The Top 10 Business Reasons Advisors Use Social Media

Social media has become a major part of the daily routine for some financial services professionals, but how are they using it?

Based on a WealthManagement.com survey of 447 advisors sponsored by NFP, we broke down the business reasons they were logging on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networks.

Wealthmanagement.com also broke out respondents who consider themselves expert or avid users of social media. 

Nearly 60 percent are using social media to network with other professionals, while more than 80 percent of expert/avid users are prospecting for new clients and connecting with current ones.
