Election Day is a very important day for all Americans. But not just for the American people. Throughout the world the relevance of this election is profoundly felt. Of course the reason is simple: it is the election of the head of the most important country in the world which is currently the main political, economic and military power.
If we look closely at the chart below, we may conclude that the US Presidential Election has never been a real driver of the stock market, no matter how politically decisive it may be. At least since 1980 which comprises crucial periods of the world's political and military evolution.
