How Do You Like Your Firm?

If you work at one of the big national firms, we want to hear from you. We are now surveying our wirehouse readers for our 18th Annual Broker Report Cards. (Yes, we know you’re all advisors now, but we’re still using the word “broker” just for tradition’s sake.) How does your firm measure up to others in the industry? How do other investment professionals rate their own companies? This is what we are trying to figure out, and rate in a scientific manner. And we need your opinions in our survey—conducted confidentially, of course. (We won’t even know who filled out which survey.)

With our annual Broker Report Card, you get a chance to score your own firm on a variety of issues—from the quality of their branch managers to the quality of sales support and payouts. In our forthcoming December issue, we will provide our readers with hard numbers that compare eight national firms to see which are the leaders—and which firms are falling behind. Please complete the survey online—anonymously—by entering the URL http://insidepenton.com/research/er/rgrbrc08.htm in your web browser. You can also visit our website, registeredrep.com, to access the survey.

All this information depends on the special effort and goodwill of many dedicated subscribers. Filling out and submitting the questionnaire—a CONFIDENTIAL questionnaire, mind you—allows you to play an important role in Registered Rep. magazine.

As an added incentive, you may enter your name into a drawing to win one of four $100 Amazon.com gift certificates—simply enter at the end of the survey.

As an example of the rankings, please see last year’s story: http://registeredrep.com/advisorland/career/registered_reps_broker_2/. For the individual profiles of firms, please see http://registeredrep.com/issue_20071201/. Simply scroll down in the investing section for the short “mood” profiles of each firm.
