Douglas Edler, CFA joined Bloomberg nearly 2 years ago as an Equities Application Specialist focusing on Equity fundamentals. In addition, he has developed a number of tools and written papers to help investors with their asset allocation.
For 11 years prior to Bloomberg, he was a portfolio manager and research analyst at a New Jersey-based Registered Investment Advisor, Fox Asset Management, which is owned by Eaton Vance, the Boston-based mutual fund company (NYSE: EV). At Fox, he ran the fixed income business during which time the assets under management grew four-fold to over half the firm’s AUM. He managed both equity and fixed income portfolios mostly for institutional clients.
Prior to Fox, he was a portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan where he helped manage the Bank’s Investment Portfolio for over 10 years during which time the portfolio grew from $3B to $30B. This portfolio consisted predominantly of mortgage-backed securities and was managed to a duration-neutral interest rate position using interest rate swaps and other fixed income instruments.
Doug graduated from Harvard University and is a CFA charterholder.
