Nathan Greenwald

Nathan Greenwald is a  former portfolio manager, analyst and trader. He has worked in the asset management industry for 12 years at several prominent New York based hedge funds, where he did everything from building multi factor equity selection models, to researching and shorting overvalued stocks, as well as covering and analyzing technology, financial services and consumer companies. Nathane began his career as a financial journalist at “Individual Investor” magazine, before attending business school and entering the finance industry. He currently works as a consultant to several hedge funds and asset management firms, and writes freelance articles on the capital markets, mutual funds, and other investment vehicles as well.

Life after wirehouse? 1

After 18 months in the industry, all at WFA, I will be leaving the firm. I have not had great success at a wirehouse. It started well in the apprentice period and the first 6 months, but I missed my hurdle at the 9 month mark and have been scraping by ever since. After taking a further look at the requirements for the next 3 years, I realize that my head is going to be on the chopping block for most of that time barring someone in my network hitting the Powerball.
