Leticia Hernandez

Prior to joining Fiduciary Trust, Ms. Hernandez was a shareholder in Miami-based law firm Fowler White Burnett, P.A., where she was a member of the trust and estates practice group. She has over 15 years of experience counseling U.S. and international individuals and their families on a variety of tax and estate planning strategies to help them achieve their wealth transfer goals. Ms. Hernandez has also represented estate fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate and trust administration matters. In addition, she has worked with clients on a variety of income tax issues, including matters before the Internal Revenue Service, and represented private foundations and other tax-exempt organizations in the formation and maintenance of such entities. Earlier in her career, Ms. Hernandez was an associate in the trust and estates group of Ruden McClosky in Miami.
Ms. Hernandez holds a master of laws in taxation from the University of Miami and received her juris doctor from St. Thomas University. She also graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor’s in business administration degree in finance. In 2013, Ms. Hernandez was recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as one of its “Rising Stars” and was named one of the “40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of Miami-Dade County” by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She is a native of Miami, and is fluent in Spanish.
