Jeffrey Fuhrman, a former partner and president of Coastal Bridge Advisors, is named president soon after Bogart received outside capital.
Bogart Wealth, a $3 billion registered investment advisor backed by Constellation Wealth Capital, has hired a former RIA strategy and operations lead as president.
Founder James Bogart will relinquish his president title to Jeffrey Fuhrman, a former partner and president of $2.8 billion Coastal Bridge Advisors. Bogart, who will continue to serve as CEO, started the RIA in 2016 with about $526 million in managed assets and has built it to a staff of more than 40 overseeing $3 billion in total client assets, including $2.7 in assets under management.
Fuhrman joins McLean, Va.-based Bogart after eight years with Coastal Bridge Advisors, which is undergoing a merger with fellow Focus Financial Partners firm TrinityPoint Wealth.
As president, Fuhrman will help lead an effort to enhance growth organically and through deals, expand capabilities and solidify operations.
“Bogart Wealth has grown rapidly over the past 5 years, so we wanted to bring on an experienced executive to take over the president role and address the need for additional leadership in order to support our existing clients and continue to expand the offerings we provide,” Bogart said via email.
The move comes shortly after Bogart Wealth received a minority, long-duration investment from Constellation Wealth Capital in January. The investment, which the firms did not disclose, will be used for client services, technology, recruitment and marketing, among other areas.
Bogart said there was no relationship between the hire and investment, noting that he made the decision to hire for the role in July 2024, months before meetings with Constellation.
Before entering the RIA space, Fuhrman was president of IMG Artists, an arts and entertainment management firm, and prior to that, president of Gemini Voice Solutions, a Blackstone-funded firm working in Voice over Internet Protocol services.
"I was inspired by Jeff's previous experience managing a large team, and building systems and processes to help support and scale growth. The next chapter of Bogart Wealth's growth will be a combination of organic as well as inorganic growth, and Jeff will be a key contributor," Bogart said.
