Trump: Open Seat At The Fed

Daniel Tarullo stepping down gives Donald Trump a chance to make his mark on the Fed.

Fed Board Member Daniel Tarullo said he would step down regardless of the election winner. There is no doubt he is dodging the planned Dodd-Frank rollbacks. Mr. Tarullo was a key player in Dodd-Frank. President Donald Trump has promised to reverse much of the post 2008-crisis regulation. A seat opens up in April. We'll review how much change this causes.

Open Seat: Vice-Chair Of Banking Regulation

The specific vice-chair of Banking Regulation had not been filled but Daniel Tarullo had been the lead in driving bank regulation. His stepping down will give President Trump a chance to make his mark on the Fed.

Probably Doesn't Change Much Initially

Early on there probably will not be much change when President Trump fills this seat.
