Auburn, Calif.-based fintech Riskalyze has named Brian McLaughlin, CEO of Redtail Technology, based in neighboring Sacramento, to its board of directors. Andy Swan, co-founder of LikeFolio, and Ryan Shanks, co-founder and CEO of FA Match, will no longer serve on the board. The two served from 2014 to 2020 and remain advisors to the company.
In the past couple of years, Riskalyze has been doing more business with broker/dealers and large RIAs. CEO Aaron Klein said the company hopes to use McLaughlin’s experience with top enterprises to help serve those same firms.
McLaughlin co-founded Redtail in 2003, which provides cloud-based customer relationship management software to wealth management firms. Redtail serves more than 40,000 financial advisory firms and more than 120,000 users.
“Transitions such as these allow for an opportunity to bring new perspectives to the table, so that we can continue to serve the financial services industry in a powerful way. Brian brings a wealth of knowledge and deep industry expertise, and his unique insights will be particularly valuable," Riskalyze Chairman Lori Hardwick said in a statement.
Other board members include Michael McDaniel, co-founder and chief investment officer at Riskalyze, and Abhay Puskoor, principal at FTV Capital.
