Technology companies raised $19.1 billion in global financing last year. And 37 tech-industry IPOs raised $4.5 billion — lagging only the oil and gas and finance industries. Now this: Former Credit Suisse hot-shot tech banker Frank Quattrone, out of court and out of exile, was the keynote speaker at the January meeting of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists — in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
