Wesley Tate has joined Morgan Stanley after 20 years with Smith Barney. Tate, who will join Morgan Stanley's Oak Brook, Ill. office, has $245 million in assets under management.
D.A. Davidson & Co.'s president, Ron Tschetter, has been nominated by President Bush to serve as the Director of the Peace Corps. Tschetter, former chairman of the National Peace Corps Association, will remain the company's president until after Labor Day, if the U.S. Senate confirms his nomination.
Jonathan and Bernard Cohen have joined Morgan Keegan & Company as senior vice presidents, and will co-manage the firm's Palm Beach, Fla., branch office. Prior to joining Morgan Keegan, the Cohens ran the North Palm Beach office of Janney Montgomery Scott for eight years, managing a combined total of $200 million in assets.
