Prudential Investments Advisory Group's (PIAG) Advisor 2000, a marketing and training program for independent advisers, is being made available to Prudential brokers.
PIAG provides outside advisers access to Prudential Investments' products. Launched in May 1999, Advisor 2000 is a business development and practice management program based on research about affluent investors' needs. About 175 advisers have used it.
But Prudential's own reps expressed interest in the program, so PIAG began offering it to them in December. "This is research anybody [at Prudential] can use and we're opening it up to our top 150 [Prudential Securities] producers at first," says Beverly Moore, senior vice president and director of marketing at PIAG.
