Citi Wealth Hires J.P. Morgan Alum for New Advisory Program Role

Marc Turansky is starting in the newly-created role of head of investment advisory programs as of Monday, according to Keith Glenfield, head of investment solutions.

Citi Wealth has hired J.P. Morgan Wealth Management alum Marc Turansky for the newly-created head of investment advisory programs role in the Investment Solutions division.

According to a note to employees from Investment Solutions Director Keith Glenfield, Turanksy started Monday and will be responsible for “defining and implementing the strategy” for growing the firm’s “fiduciary investment programs and platforms.”

Glenfield said Turansky spent 12 years at J.P. Morgan before joining Citi Wealth. According to his LinkedIn profile, he began his tenure as an executive director of discretionary and non-discretionary programs before eventually becoming a managing director and head of advisory programs at the firm’s wealth management division in February 2021.

Glenfield described Turansky as being responsible for the “strategic direction and development of all advisory programs and the execution of the overall business model” for his division at J.P. Morgan before departing.

“Marc has a strong track record of results and partnership in our industry,” Glenfield wrote. “I am thrilled to have him as part of the Investment Solutions leadership team for what will be an exciting 2025.”

In a statement to WealthManagement.com, Glenfield added that the firm’s clients need to have “choice and access” to an array of investment solutions.

“(Turansky) has extensive experience partnering with financial advisors to help ensure the offerings make it easier to service clients most effectively every day,” Glenfield wrote. “Also, a key part of his role will be evaluating opportunities to enhance our existing capabilities and further expand reach of the programs globally.”

Before J.P. Morgan, Turansky spent more than a decade at Merrill Lynch, where he last held the titles of director and head of business development, FA-directed programs, Managed Solutions Group.

Turansky’s move follows several other Citi Wealth hires late last year, including Eric Lordio, who left J.P. Morgan to head Citi Wealth’s digital division. Before the new role, he’d been the head of ConnectWealth Strategic Development at J.P. Morgan and previously served as managing director and head of advice platforms at Morgan Stanley.

Additionally, BlackRock alum Kate Moore joined Citi Wealth as its new chief investment officer, where she will have “broad responsibilities at the firm,” according to Head of Wealth Andy Sieg. Lordio and Moore will start their new roles on Jan. 29 and in February, respectively.

Last June, Citi Wealth snagged former Morgan Stanley strategic client management head Dawn Nordberg to lead a new client engagement program. The personnel changes are the latest in several shifts following Sieg’s departure from Merrill to take the top role at Citi Wealth in March 2023.
