The popular portfolio management and reporting platform Black Diamond has some new custodial integrations. SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (which owns both Black Diamond and Advent) announced Tuesday additional integration options with the advisory platforms of TD Ameritrade and Charles Schwab and reported progress on integrations with the two remaining big-four custodians—Fidelity and Pershing.
Specifically, advisors using both Black Diamond and TD Ameritrade Institutional’s Veo One advisor platform can seamlessly pass data from Black Diamond to Veo One’s new account opening “wizard.” This allows advisors simpler access to client account information via a single sign-on, a consolidated view of client information and for new clients a completely digital onboarding process.
Black Diamond has also launched a direct connection to Schwab’s Digital Account Open guided experience, which is an expansion on previous workflow integrations using Schwab’s OpenView Gateway platform for RIAs. This new integration means that advisors can launch the account opening workflow directly from within Black Diamond.
Black Diamond also announced it was currently in the midst of similar digital account opening initiatives with Pershing and Fidelity. Completion of these is expected for later this year. Also on the road map: automated delivery of custodial documents, such as statements and tax documents (meaning elimination of manual downloads for these documents).
