Ideas on best ways to do this? And to do it with class and a non-presumptuous, non-offensive way.

Should I just befriend them and “hope” they pick me…or outright ask in a professional way. Something like, " Hey, I’d consider it an honor to be able to help you with your clients in the transition if you ever decide to retire" I don’t want to be too presumptuous and offend anyone though. Sorry if this is a double post…my computer was acting off today. Thanks for ideas/ advice.
