Just got back from my RJ visit. It was very impressive. I don't like what they have done to their annuity business but at least they were honest about it.
My concern with LPL is the lack of new issue preferred, corp bonds, and equity linked notes and CDs. As of now I'm leaning towards RJ because of their breath of services.
LPL vist is next. However is it worth the effort to go to San Diego?

hmmm do you plan on retiring in FLA or CA? Cause you can start building your business there now. You can service your big accounts in FL with a couple of face to face meetings a year, and the company pays.

Yes...it's worth it. if you don't see both sides of the coin, you'll always wonder if you made the bext decision. My guess is that you'll come back just as impressed, but for different reasons. In the end, you'll choose based on what best fits the business you do. That may very well be Ray Jay, particularly if you are heavily transaction-based and don't do much in the way of fee-based or annuities, but you owe it to yourself to be certain you made the best decision. Besides, San Diego is a very cool place to visit...
Either way 15 mill probably wont cut it. Stay longer and wok your book harder my friend.
3 guys in my office did over 100k this month. I’ve brought in over 2mil in wrap the last 2 months and still managed to do over 20k this month. I have a high payout for awhile, so I’ll drink the kool aid for a few years.
