Actually, his response doesn't surprise me. Sounds like Jones was headhunting and most likely had someone pouring over all his reports looking for stuff.

I buy Skrainka's version too.

Not long ago we had a region meeting, and one of the reps in the region was the current "flavor of the month" - built a big office, he's our guy, tell us how you did it... lots of awards and glad-handing all around.

The next week, he was unceremoniously fired, with a broker from another region pre-selected, relocated, and in the office the morning it happened.

Who knows exactly what causes Jones to press the "Eject" button.

Jones always talked about the support that home office provided, and how they would stand behind you. Just never tells you that while standing behind you they have a knife in their hand.
