Advice, ideas, experiences please!
It depends on the size of your firm. If you are less than 5 I would suggest Packet 8. The phones are expensive, but they all are. If you start getting into more than 5 I would suggest a local VOIP service. You should get an outsourced solution so all you do in plug in your phone into your internet and off you go. You can negotiate better with them and get better service. When you buy the phone make sure the are compatible with multiple VOIP services. Lastly ask other firms in your building, I am sure they will help as well.
Good Luck

I second Packet 8 - I have been really happy with them. The key is to make sure you have the upload bandwidth to handle it. Hooking the phone up to a DSL line won’t work.
