Palm Treo or Blackberry vs. cell & a PDA
8 RepliesJump to last post
I have to change my PDA to a palm OS device or Blackberry in order to sync with my technology platform.
I really like my current iPaq, but it’s Windows Mobile and the techies don’t support the OS.
So, has anyone got any feedback and experience with the Palm Treo smartphone vs. Blackberry? I’ve never used an all-in-one mobile phone/PDA and am not sure I need to now.
I may just keep my cell and buy a cheapie Palm OS PDA since all I really want is the calendar/contacts/tasks functionality. I don’t give two $hits about the other bells and whistles (voice rec, mp3, camera, video, etc).
However, the idea of consolidating into one device does has it’s appeal. That’s why I’d like to know how the performance of the Phone/PDAs mentioned above.
Thanks for any input!
Does anyone at Merril Lynch have experience with using the TREO and how it synchs with the software avaliable there?
I have the Blackberry at ML. Email and Calender all sink in real
time with the office, but the task function does not. The phone
is OK.
I have a palm treo 700 and am very pleased. I honestly don’t have any complaints except that my bluetooth can cause my phone to act up a bit. I would say go with the new palm treo you won’t be disappointed.
I agree with Dogder. I love my Treo 650. I sync it with my outlook to get my calendar and email and have all the benefits of a powerful phone.
GO TREO… all the way … powerful functionality and reliable resource. You get all the power of your laptop in your pocket! …
(begging not to flame/insult me) I am currently in process of making a transition to ML and I was just curious if they actually "give" you a blackberry? I was going to purchase one but this could save me money .
