Oh man, not those guys… all I can say is that their Founder just finished on a 30,000 square foot house worth over 50 million in the NE Atlanta burbs. Does that answer the question of where your money goes?
My girlfriend’s dad works there. He’s pretty high up, 3 or 4 down
from the top of the pyramid. He doesn’t know anything about
financial planning, it’s apparent when I talk to him. They’ll
hire anyone, high-school dropouts included. That’s exactly who I
want managing my money. In reality I don’t think they really
manage any money. I think they just try to sell you a life
insurance policy and move on to the next person whether or not it’s
good for you. Or they try to recruit you and then steal your
contacts. When I asked how many AUM he had he told me they don’t
measure their representatives that way. His response was “WFG is
the third largest brokerage in the US”. They measure their size
by the number of reps they have and they have about 10,000
suckers. Just my experience.
On a sidenote, my girlfriend told me he got her a life insurance policy
as an investment that will give her a 14% return guaranteed, but she
never had to go see a doctor or fill out anything. I’m not too
familiar with how life insurance works but isn’t it required by the
insurance company that you are examined by a doctor to determine if you
are insurable, and isn’t it illegal to sell life insurance as an
investment? Thanks, any feedback would be appreciated.
Someone commented that WFG doesn’t have reputable or brand name companies to back them up…correct me if I’m wrong but, Voya formally known as ING, Nationwide, Western Reserve Life,Prudential, Transamerica ranked in the top 1% of all broker dealer in the county , those are reputable companies and the ones I listed are only a few of the companies that backup World Financial Group
