At Merrill Lynch, what does the title “First Vice President - Investments” mean? Is it based on length of service? Does the title guarantee the fact that an advisor is a $1 million dollar producer? Thank you for any help.

I think it is LOS 20+ with some level of lifetime cumulative production minimum. I am fairly sure it is not an annual benchmark. Either way your still a FA-- just have grayer hair.

No LOS requirement.
"First Vice President - Investments" = trailing 5 year production of $5 million. Obviously most who reach this level are LOS 20+ but there is no LOS requirement. "Senior Vice President - Investments" = trailing 5 years of $10 million.[quote=Northfield] No LOS requirement.

Yep, that is it. Read it the other day but didn’t pay too much attention to it.
It means you’ve really paid your dues at Merrill, or you just came over from someplace else after you blew up book over there.
