I am looking into starting up an independent RIA firm. My idea was to register the firm and then offer to manage the assets of friends and family for no fee, just to get used to the platform and get my tech stack up and running.


Is there an RIA Custodian that will support those conditions well?


Schwab doesnt appear to have any minimum but does charge 10 basis points.

I’ve read about SSG institutional but I couldn’t find a fee schedule anywhere.


Do you have any advice on this matter?
