Hello all! I just passed my series 65 today and also have my insurance license. As I consider which firms in town are the best fit for me, I was wondering what everyone's experience was. How did you choose your financial planning firm?

My personal situation is that I have 34 and have been working as a consultant for the past 8 years but was looking for a change when we moved. It seems like most new people here (in the greater Dallas area) work for New York Life or Edward Jones but I don't know if I am missing something that I should look out for.
