Does the FA career cause misery?

Jim Mc Kenzie was the guy who probably put you to sleep. Jack Phelan was the guy in the van down by the river.
Man… This is the Internet. People state stuff they would not normally state. So welcome and have some fun and say some crazy stuff… Once in a while say something that is good in the content area.

See this is the problem with coming from a small town in "Real America" you have no idea how big the world really is. (Before you start telling me about how worldly you are, save it, I don't care if Henry Kissinger envy’s your frequent flier miles, you've exhibited a very small universality about yourself) You've been here what a week? And in that time you've been dismissive of all advice that wasn't a reaffirmation of what you said when you first got here. AND you are constantly in the thick of fights you have zero first hand knowledge of. You think you know us. That might work in Left Overshoe, Nebraska but not here on the world wide web.

You really are nuts. Anyone who compares a real town to the www has something wrong with them. You think you're tough here or something? You own this "town"? Been all over the world but it ain't squat cuz it's not the Big W W W?
In answer to the question: I’m not an fa. I’m an insurance salesman but so far, it makes me miserable just reading about it.
Wow! Talk about taking someone literally for every single word he posts. He's rather entertaining; leave him be.

Kerho, I tend to agree with you. For some people on
this forum
(including myself), it is a way to get some ideas, and also a bit of
entertainment .
But, you are correct about the EJ thing. Nearly every EJ advisor I have met
is happy with the firm, whether they are just starting out, or 10 years in.
Most of the complaining I hear is from people on this forum. [/
QUOTE]Logically, isn’t that somewhat of a self-fulfilling phenomenon,
because if someone is happy they are not likely to leave. EdJ has strong
culture, like it or not. Those who like it stay. Those who don’t like it leave
to go indy and then lob hand grenades at the most obvious kool aid
drinkers on the RR board.
Yes, a pretty accurate statement.

He wasn't comparing the internet to a small town. He was suggesting that you're a perty dern small-minded feller, despite how much you think of yerself. Come ridin' into our lil' town and pickin' fights with ever-one who don't see eye to eye with ya'. Not verra nice behavior for a newcomer, 'specially an ingerrant one.

I must say, I thought you were just an ass, but you do a good hill-billy internet accent.
Its like EVERY forum. People get sick of seeing the same tread they saw today, thre days ago, last week, 4 weeks ago, 4 weeks and 8 hrs ago, 1 month 2 weeks ago, 3 months ago, 3 months 2 hrs ago, you get the point.
I have been here for two months and its already old! Enjoy the humor
Does the FA career cause misery? All of us had to pay our dues doing the cold calls--some did door knocking--putting up with boring meetings--living through the cycles of the market with our caffine craze clients. Looking back on the past 14 years reminds me of all my marriages...I can only remember the good times--the bad times I've already paid my dues for!
Yes and No, it's up to you!
KERHO.....where are you???
Right here, what's up? sorry, been busy.
So what is your current status with the edard jones interview process?
Working with market analysis team. You find them to be knowledgable and helpful in your search?
