I am studying to take my Series 65 exam. Does anyone have used Kaplan study guides, practice exmas, qbook etc. that I can buy from them? Or do you know where I can get used Kaplan series 65 material? I went on ebay and amazon and found nothing. I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.
thanks for the advice about walker book. do you have a walker book you can sell me?
I have a Kaplan book you can have. It's the most recent edition. Shoot me an email via the link in my profile to remind me.
I used a B&N coupon and got it for like $42, definitely not a high bar for the Walker book. It reads well, we'll see how well I do on the exam. I passed it about 8 years ago and recently sat for the CFA so the only part I am focusing heavily on is the law...
Strav,
You'll have no problem passing with the walker book. I sat for CFA level I in December, barely failed. Studied the walker book for 2 weeks after taking a real test and passed the 65 without a problem. The law section is pretty straightforward in that book. Best of luck to you.

what is the "walker book" - where can get one?
what is it about the Walker book that provides such goodness. I have take the exam and FAILED! 69% I might add. I used the Kaplan stuff. I "was" operative word, a series 7, 24, 27, 53, 63 and I would like to have the 65 but it almost seems unattainalbe. Got answers? I would like to get back into the mix. Anyhlep is greatly appreciated.
I passed the Series 65 in October 2011 on my second try. I studied some old practice exams for the first try (that I got for free from a RR member) and missed it by one question. After that, I bought the Kaplan book with online access for $149. The book was thorough and the practice tests were great. In fact, about half the practice test questions appeared on the real test, so Kaplan is in tune with FINRA. I looked at the Walker book and it was useless. On the first try, I studied very little, about ten hours. I thought with 25 years investment experience, the test would be easy. On the second try, I studied about 40 hours, most of that on the practice tests. I got 90% on the second try. Thus, I highly recommend the Kaplan book and taking as many practice tests as you can.
Thanks for the response. I am guessing that I probably didn't do enough practice exams. I have found that the questions provide alot of info not provided in the book. Too bad for me and the fail! Back to the grinding stone. I guess I'm just making it difficult. thanks again for the response smallcap_research. I'll be back. In the meatime I will be doing some practice exams. Have a profitable day!
