DNC Question

I've been cold calling for over a year now and I just had my first prospect complaint over a cold call. I do my due dilliegence on all my upcoming week's lists on Sunday mornings. I called a prospect at home on a screened list but the person added their number to DNC registry yesterday. when I called they were irate and nothing I could do or say calmed them down to the point where they said they will be reporting me.
My question is where does that complaint appear and how much trouble is to be expected. I told my BM and he laughed it off and told me about the good ol' days at MS in Jersey. I'm not so much worried about him, but rather our compliance woman who is a real pain in the a$$. She loves nothing more than to report to anyone above her hoping to move up in the BofA ladder. Anything helps.
There is a delay of 30days once someone registers until they are considered uncallable.. you are fine..
Like sq said, it's 30 days after they call to show up on the DNC list. Not your fault at all.
Perfect, flawless record still intact and got 18 more dials in with 1 contact and 1 call back, all while worrying. Thanks
If the DNC is at all like our govt/regulators, if that person complains, it might take 100 yrs, and an investigation budget of 200 million dollars before you hear from them....
My shop, indy, we're on the DNC list, but our phones, and even our poor fax machine get hammered a couple few times a day. Before we went on the list.... a call every 5 f'n minutes.
Possibly..
Most likely he is a business address and is just getting pounded by telemarketers because his stuff is new..
