Saw this article on Yahoo this morning and thought you car guys might get a kick out of it. Wouldn't you think a $1 million car would have Bluetooth? WonderCNBC reported the car’s value at $2,000,000. Unfortunately luxo exotics are not immune to fate, bad luck, stupidity, or insurance fraud. Coparts has thousands of wrecked exotics. Though, i doubt they have any of these.
As for this one, it's not done. "Low Flood", someone will buy it and retitle it in a clean title state where some rich idiot is going to get ripped off buying a salvage vehicle. Every day people get ripped off buying "Clean Title" salvage vehicles. The most repulsive sellers of these vehicles offer them as Certified Pre-Owned. Honda has been caught more than once selling rebuilt wrecks through their program. One trip on the internet to a salvage site, seeing what may eventually end up on a car lot near you, is enough to turn your stomach. Buyer beware!New electronics, a new interior and 2 technicians for 6 months and you have a new car again…maybe $200,000 total. As long as you can re-use the metal, it won’t cost “too much” to bring this piece of crap car back to new.
ps: I hate the veyron because there was no innovation…they just packed 2 engines into one car…
with a full tank, if you take it up to top speed, it runs out of gas in 17 minutes. What a joke!
Still@jones, unfortunately that car won’t get new anything. Lucky if it gets a decent detail to clean the mud and hide the smell. So it goes in in rebuilder marketplace.
Agree, car is a sad piece. This is pretty crazy…it looks like this crash was caught on video.
