Todays Music Generation?

At least Miley can sing…The Jonas Bros can barely carry a tune…they smile and make all the teenage girls …well…you know! Shame though, they keep winning awards …the least they could’ve done was Milli Vanilli it for a while!

Fortunately we've never spent much time on the Jonas Bros. They're bad singers and even worse actors. We don't watch Hannah Montana any longer. My kids know who she is, but we don't go out of our way to watch or listen to her stuff. Especially after some of the articles I see once in a while about the stuff she does on stage. Something about a pole dance at one of the teen award shows if I remember right. I don't need that in my house. Sending them to school teaches them enough bad habits.
Homeschool.
We've talked about it. I think it would be the end of my wife's sanity.
At least there are people out there with a brain. I listen to anything under the the year 2000 and below. From 2Pac, Billy Idol, Belinda Carlisle, Alan Jackson, and Beethoven.Graduated mid-nineties.
I think today’s music is more repetitive. No creativity. Especially in the hip-hop arena. There’s no emotion. Just “I gots my gunz, I gots my hoes…etc”. There is a song out that is basically saying the alphabet! They call this kid a GENIUS!
As for hard rock, nothing substantial has come out. No good rhythm to make you rock out down the road.
Alternative - I can’t think of anything right now that doesn’t SOUND as if it were made to appeal to teenage girls.
No maturity.
As for talent - yes, I think talent has taken a back seat to looks. It’s all about a band’s appearance now. Not that it was all about the music in the past, but still…
