Names for your firm?

BTW I probably shouldn’t be a smartass until I know whether or not Raymond is actually a first name or not.

I absolutely did NOT want a "MY NAME" firm, I think it shows a lack of imagination and foresight that makes my skin crawl.

Mr. Smith, Mr. Barney, Mr. Merrill, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Pierce, Mr. Finner, Mr. Smith[2], Mr. Goldman, Mr. Sachs, Mr. Morgan, Mr. Stanley, Mr. Bernstein, Mr. Sterns, Mr. Fisher, Mr. Raymond, Mr. James, Mr. Jones, Mr. Edwards, Mr. Waddell, and Mr. Reed might have an objection to your foresight comment.

They might, why don't you bring it up next time you're trying to sell them a pair of High Button Shoes?

Ameriprise.

Ameriprise.
I said major - should have said professional.
Naming a firm after yourself is like "self praise".
I know that we all know know that "self praise is like no praise at all"
And yet some people think "There's no praise like self praise"!
After I've built this up to a multi branch firm with 50 brokers working for me, I'll consider letting the Board of Directors change the name of the firm to honor me.

It can have benefits. In our fairly small community my family name is quite well known. It brings some name recognition that I find valuable.
Who is John Galt? He might disagree with you and he stopped the motor of the world. First person to guess correctly(as long it’s not Bobby Hull because you can’t argue with perfection! ) wins a free financial consultation from Ashland Wealth Management, LLC.
One thing I do NOT want is a financial review from a guy who holds that all regulation ought to be free market regulation!
Gad12, I got around that by having my 800 number be 1 866 MYNAME.
I put it on banner type ads where locals that will know my name might see it, and then just use the numbers elsewhere.

Atlas Shrugged.
No, Whomit… you didn’t. Bobby won…
Bobby - you are truly all by yourself, outstanding in your field.
Whomit - I’m not a libertarian, and I haven’t read Ayn Rand since high school. It was good trivia for a moment there, tho.

I can't wait for some of the fun responses we're going to get on this one, but I would also hope for some serious ones as well. What do you independents out there name your firms?
Say my name is John Smith.
Smith Financial or Smith Investments are leading the race at the moment.
Smith Wealth Management did not get approved by compliance.

I like "Brass Balls Financial" and these mottos:
1) Some people just play with their balls and others are waiting for their balls to drop but we make things happen here because WE ARE Brass Balls.
2) Brass Balls Financial...because you don't have time to play with your balls or wait for your balls to drop.

Meno, do you remember that website that you had with your picture and all of those nasty things you said about what you like to do with women? I think you mentioned something about "balls" on that site.
