Warren Buffett, the investment oracle of Omaha, might soon rival the likes of Nemo as most lovable cartoon hero. Or so he's hoping.
Working for free, the 75-year old will play an animated version of himself in a 13-part DVD Series called The Secret Millionaire's Club. Burbank-based DIC Entertainment Corp., whose cartoon characters include Trollz, Inspector Gadget and Strawberry Shortcake, began production of the show in March.
In the series, the cartoon billionaire helps a group of children raise money to prevent a real estate developer from shutting down a youth center in Omaha. The children auction baseball memorabilia they find in the attic of the club to pay off the mortgage, and the Oracle gives them advice on companies in which to invest the remainder of their money.
