Certain gyms in New York City, like Church Street Boxing Gym in the financial district and Gleason's in Brooklyn, have become popular with Wall Street professionals. Gleason's, which opened its doors in New York almost 70 years ago and has trained Muhammad Ali, holds monthly “White-Collar Sparring” nights for amateurs. About 10 percent of the white-collar boxers at Gleason's are Wall Street professionals says Gleason's owner, Bruce Silverglade. “Wall Streeters are very accomplished and very dedicated. They don't like to lose.”
