Mark Sutton, chairman and CEO of U.S. operations for UBS, has announced his resignation after 16 months in the position. Sutton says he plans to pursue other business opportunities and personal interests. Robert Wolf, chairman of the firm's investment bank, will replace Sutton in January 2007.
Stephen Johnson has joined Jackson National Life Insurance Company as the assistant vice president of national accounts. He will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships with national firms, identifying new distribution partners and negotiating distribution agreements. Johnson joins the company from Piper Jaffray, where he held various management positions.
Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America named Mike Jorgensen president of its retail brokerage arm, USAllianz Securities. Prior to joining USAllianz Securities, Jorgensen served as chief operating officer at Securian Financial Services.
Pension Builders & Consultants has named Tom Papanikolaou its chief operating officer. Papanikolaou previously served as partner and managing director for a Los Angeles broker/dealer.
