Rising interest rates may cool the red-hot market for RIA firms — but, then again, they may not. That is the mixed picture about M&A in the advisory business that emerges from a recent survey of advisors by WealthManagementIQ and Informa Research conducted for Bluespring Wealth Partners, SkyView Partners and Cambridge Investment Research, Inc.
While 40% of advisors surveyed see greater M&A activity coming in 2023 and a nearly identical percentage predict fewer deals, more than half of survey respondents feel that deal-making conditions will favor buyers over sellers.
Those survey results and others will be the subject of this webinar, which will explore and illuminate the key issues shaping the environment for mergers and acquisitions of advisory firms in the year ahead. Specifically, the webinar will cover:
- Why scale is so important and how it is driving M&A.
- The three biggest challenges advisory firms face.
- Where technology fits in the M&A picture.
- Human resource factors as a consideration.
- Has this year’s market volatility has changed clients and firms?
