People in nearly half of the country’s 50 states searched for information about income taxes, more than any other financial topic, according to a survey from life insurance agency TermLife2Go.

The survey analyzed Google Trends, finding the financial topics people were searching for, then looked at each topic’s popularity by state. While income taxes were a hot topic across multiple states, others, like retirement or estate planning, were most popular in one state. Retirement, for instance, was most popular in Wyoming, which boasts the fastest-growing senior population, TermLife2Go says. 

The analysis also listed some of the most-asked financial questions, ranging from “Why do I need mortgage insurance?” to “How do income taxes work?”

Here’s a look at the most-popular Googled financial topics, as well as the states where that particular topic was No. 1.
