A West Des Moines, Iowa-based wealth management advisor with more than a decade in the industry and more than $140 in assets under management is joining Farm Bureau Financial Services, according to a company announcement. Chris Benda will be joining Farm Bureau from Northwest Wealth Management, where he was the firm’s first practicing advisor.

“As a fiduciary for my clients, it’s my duty to do what I believe is best for them. Finding a company that’s as focused on client experience as I am was a big draw,” Benda said. “Farm Bureau’s holistic approach to integration, technology, marketing and overall support are incredibly attractive for wealth management advisors like me who are dedicated to providing exceptional investment advice and service to clients.”

Farm Bureau Financial Services, which was founded 80 years ago to specifically address the financial services needs of farmers and ranchers, now works with a diverse set of clients in 14 Western and Midwestern states to offer numerous insurance products. By joining Farm Bureau, Benda will have access to turnkey marketing programs and an advisor website that is customizable for his preferences.

Farm Bureau Financial Services is the consumer brand name for FBL Financial Group, which will be announcing its third quarter earnings after the close of the markets on Thursday, with a conference call for analysts and investors scheduled for the following morning at 11 a.m., with access available at FBL’s website.
