Jeralyn A. Seiling

Director, Merrill Lynch Strategic Wealth Advisory Group

Jeralyn is a Director with Merrill Lynch’s Strategic Wealth Advisory Group. Jeralyn advises ultra high net worth clients on wealth transfer and tax-oriented strategies and solutions. She also works closely with families to implement structures for sustaining family wealth across multiple generations.
 
Jeralyn joined Merrill Lynch in 2007 after practicing law for over 15 years. Jeralyn’s experience includes planning for estate and gift taxes, wealth preservation, philanthropy, individual income tax, pre-liquidity planning, and concentrated stock diversification. Jeralyn has particular expertise around multi-generational and family business succession planning.
 
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Jeralyn practiced law with the San Francisco law firm of Farella Braun + Martel LLP where she was a member of the Tax and Family Wealth Transfer Group. While in private practice, Jeralyn worked with a number of winery families in Napa and Sonoma to assist them is structuring transfers of the family business to successive generations. Earlier in her career, Jeralyn practiced in the areas of Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities, and Commercial Transactions.
 
Jeralyn is a frequent speaker on topics relating to wealth transfer planning, including at Merrill Lynch’s Financial Boot Camps conducted in partnership with UCLA Anderson, Penn Wharton, Chicago Booth, and Michigan Ross. Jeralyn enjoys volunteering with a number of local arts organizations.
 
Jeralyn earned her J.D. at University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law and is a member of the California State Bar and holds her Series 7 and 66.
