As the Millenial kids grow up and head for college, investment in and development of student housing properties to cater to them can be an attractive proposition. Many colleges already face a shortage of available housing stock on their campuses, driving up demand for off-campus dorms. Perhaps more importantly, many of today’s college students also expect an upgraded level of amenities from their residences, including resort-style swimming pools, game rooms and top-of-the-line appliances.
