10 Highest Paid REIT CEOs

Already have an account?

Dreaming of that CEO chair? You probably want to know how much you’d get paid. To help you figure out whether all the responsibility would be worth it, Charlottesville, Va.-based research firm SNL Real Estate has published a compensation survey for U.S. equity REIT CEOs. SNL estimates that average compensation for the top 25 executives in the sector was $10.9 million in 2014—not a bad number in itself, and a 6.2 percent increase compared to the number reported for 2013. To further break down exactly what equity REIT CEOs are getting in exchange for their services, SNL researchers provided two compensation figures—option-adjusted compensation, which includes base salary, cash bonus, stock awards, options awards and non-equity incentive plans, and cash-equivalent compensation, which is based on base salary, cash bonus and other unclassified compensation. All the figures are based on data as of May 14, 2015.
