California sure lives up to its name as the Golden State: It hogs the list of U.S. counties with the most millionaire households, taking four of the top 10 slots, according to market research house TNS. Topping that list of counties is L.A. County, with 261,081 millionaire households. At the bottom of the list: New York's Nassau County (Long Island), and Suffolk County (the Hamptons, also on Long Island), ranking 9th and 10th, respectively. But when the population of each county is factored in, the tony New York zip codes still have the highest percentage of wealthy inhabitants.
