Advisor Group has tapped Greg Stockett as its new chief financial officer and former Cetera executive Nina McKenna as its chief legal officer and general counsel.
Stockett takes over for Tom Lux, who was serving as interim CFO until a permanent replacement could be found. McKenna’s role is new for the firm and designed to align risk and legal functions in a more fiduciary-focused environment.
Most recently, Stockett served as chief operations officer and chief financial officer at REDI Global Technologies, a multi-asset execution management system used by large broker/dealers and institutional trading clients. He has also held roles at BondDesk Group, Barra Inc. and Deloitte & Touche.
McKenna joins the firm from Cetera Financial where she worked in a similar role. She also previously worked in legal capacities at ING Americas’ broker/dealer group, the law firm of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal, NASD Regulation and Oppenheimer Industries.
“As we support our advisors and their clients in this new fiduciary era, a deep understanding of the strategic nature of risk as well as the support of a strongly capitalized and financially well-run partner is critical in helping them navigate the evolving landscape,” Advisor Group Executive Chairman Valerie Brown said in a statement.
Both will be based in Phoenix and report to President and CEO Jamie Price.
