Fifth Third Wealth Advisors, a registered investment advisor launched by Fifth Third Bank in 2022, has added a team of three advisors who managed $2 billion at TIAA-CREF.
Advisors Scott Bailey, Scott Cislo and Murray Kinlaw have joined Fifth Third Wealth Advisors as managing directors. Kinlaw and Cislo will be based out of the new Charlotte, N.C., office, while Bailey is located in St. Louis, Mo.
The RIA, which surpassed $2 billion in assets under management in September, now has nine advisor teams in eight states. That includes offices in Naples and Tampa, Fla.; Springfield, Ill.; Westchester, N.Y.; Pittsburgh; Dallas; and Atlanta.
“At FTWA, we believe we offer the look, feel, and agility of an independent boutique, supported by a top-performing regional bank,” Eric Housman, president of Fifth Third Wealth Advisors, said in a statement. “We allow our teams to dedicate more time to clients and strengthen client relationships. We look forward to continuing our growth story.”
Fifth Third Bank launched the RIA at the end of 2022, providing its advisors with physical office space, an investment platform, technology and operational support. The bank tapped Housman, a former managing director of Fifth Third Private Bank’s MidAtlantic Region, to lead the RIA.
Advisors also get access to trust powers, credit and planning through the bank. The firm uses Fidelity for custody.
