Integrated Partners, a CPA-focused hybrid RIA and office of supervisory jurisdiction of LPL Financial with over $17 billion in AUA, added CoFi Advisors, a Portsmouth, N.H.-based practice with about $185 million in assets.
CoFi Advisors was co-founded by Wheeler Crowley and Colin Walker, who left Ameriprise Financial after seven years. They’re joined by Shania Mulley, a registered client service associate and practice manager.
CoFi will now have access to Integrated’s resources, including its Business Owner Solutions, Insurance Solutions Division and Integrated Family Office.
The team was particularly attracted to Integrated’s CPA Alliance, which connects advisors with more than 170 tax practices in need of a wealth management platform. They see it as an opportunity to grow their business organically and scale through CPA partnerships.
“While many advisors struggle to achieve organic growth, we’re confident that programs like Integrated’s CPA Alliance will help us unlock access to a broader set of prospective clients,” Walker said in a statement. “We’re eager to see how this partnership can help us grow in a measured and strategic way, enhancing our capacity to serve our clients effectively.”
Established in 1996, Integrated Partners is wholly owned by CEO Paul Saganey. The model is predicated on providing the resources and training advisors need to take their practices to the next level. The CPA Alliance offers a captive pool of ultra-wealthy clients that Integrated advisors can tap into while giving CPA professionals the tools they need to address increasingly complex client needs.
Last year, the firm announced its first full acquisition and created an affiliated insurance business, headed up by Peter Kaplan. A family office offering for households with at least $20 million in investable assets is also available, as well as a W-2 option.
