Rockefeller Capital Management has recruited a 10-person team in Richmond, Va., to Rockefeller Global Family Office, the firm’s wealth management division.
The group, led by Managing Director and Private Advisor John B. Lewis, joins from Truist.
Lewis Wealth Partners is the firm’s first private advisor team based in Richmond. The group will report to Kristen Sario, southeast divisional director of Rockefeller Global Family Office.
The team also includes managing directors and private advisors Joseph Bartholomew III and Richard Blackwell and Senior Vice President and private advisor Kylie Roman. They’re also joined by financial planning officers Lindsay E. Dillon and Trevor Adams, Wealth Manager Michael G. Hofmeister, Client Service Manager Catherine Elrod, and client associates Lauren Hershey and Jessica Taylor.
Rockefeller Capital Management began as the family office of John D. Rockefeller in 1882 and was restructured as an independent advisory firm in 2018. The firm has since grown to include three distinct businesses—Rockefeller Global Family Office, Rockefeller Asset Management and Rockefeller Strategic Advisory. Collectively, they represent 50 locations across the U.S. and one in London, overseeing about $122 billion in client assets.
Last year, Rockefeller received its first external capital investment—$622 million from the ultra-wealthy Desmarais family in Canada, which has historical ties to the Rockefellers—in a deal that valued the firm at $3 billion.
