LPL has picked up another advisory team from Advisor Group, this time adding Scottsdale, Ariz.–based Progressive Financial Concepts, with $450 million in client assets, to its platform.
Advisors Kory Budinger, Michael Apsell, Eric Black, Greg Morell, Stanley Waldrop and Brian West have joined LPL after more than five years at SagePoint Financial, one of the broker/dealers in Advisor Group’s network. The team has affiliated with Wealth Consulting Group (WCG), a large office of supervisory jurisdiction of LPL with $2 billion in client assets.
The Progressive team likes LPL’s integrated technology, which allows their advisors to more easily access customer information across the team. Specifically, LPL’s advisor desktop technology, ClientWorks, is integrated with DocuSign and the team’s CRM software. The advisors were also attracted by LPL’s client-facing technology.
WCG was founded by CEO Jimmy Lee in Las Vegas in 1995 with a handful of firms and has since grown to more than 70 advisors and 22 offices.
LPL has recruited several advisors from the Advisor Group network. Most recently, it added The Monteverde Group, which manages about $440 million in client assets from Royal Alliance.
