LIFE Provides Insurance Information Following 9-11 Attacks

Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education is at ground zero of the rebuilding effort following the tragic events of September 11.

LIFE’s newest customer service initiative directly addresses the concerns survivors have about their missing loved ones’ coverage: Did the victim have a policy? How do I file a claim? What are my settlement options? Where do I turn for help and explanations? Survivors can call a toll-free number (888-346-8200) or access information on LIFE’s website (www.life-line.org) to get answers to their insurance-related questions.

By combining the vast resources of more than 500 insurance companies and leading insurance agents and financial advisors, LIFE has assembled an unprecedented coalition whose sole mission is to get survivors the insurance information they need to rebuild their lives. "Out of this horrible tragedy a need for security has been generated. We want to let people know we are there for them in time of need," said David F. Woods, CLU, ChFC, President of LIFE.

LIFE, a non-profit organization, was designed in 1994 to address the public’s growing need for information and education on life, health, and disability insurance. The organization points out the value-added services of the insurance agent and other financial professionals.
